The reletionship
Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have been together since 1998, when the now-26-year-old actress split with longtime boyfriend Joaquin Phoenix, her co-star in the 1997 film Inventing the Abbotts. Since then, Liv and Roy have fallen in love and the relationship has resulted in their marriage this month in the Caribbean.
On Valentine's Day of 2001, Liv and Royston got engaged. That summer, Liv got involved in a tour of Royston's band Spacehog across the USA- supporting The Black Crowes and Oasis.
Liv and Roy have been supporting each other a lot, with Liv attending Roy's gigs and Roy escorting her to the movie premieres of her Lord Of The Rings films.
Liv likes to show how much she loves Roy. Here is an excerpt from an interview she gave to W Magazine: "I'm madly in love, it's amazing to be able to feel, three years later, more in love than I did even when we first met. When I see him, I blush. Constantly."

Year 2002 saw the couple renovating a house that they had bought some months before in the Greenwich Village area of New York. That was the first sign that the couple were thinking of getting engaged.
In March 2002, Liv and Roy took a well-deserved break, on a holiday to Barbados. They enjoyed the beach as the picture in this page denotes.
The couple also had a wedding to attend that year...Liv's mother got married to fiancé Jim Wallerstein, and Liv and Roy celebrated the happy event with Liv's family.
Later on in the summer of 2002, Royston's band Spacehog parted ways, and Royston began a solo career. Liv, as always, supported him at his solo performances.

At the end of 2002, Royston dedicated his new music video "Cool Water" to Liv, by including her in the video. Liv appeared floating in a swimming pool.
The year 2003 started with Roy touring again, this time with Liv's stepfather Todd Rundgren, whom she had believed to be her biological father until the age of 12. Here is a review of the gig: "I got to visit with Todd, Royston and Liv a little after the show, and when I told Royston how strong I felt his performance had been, you could see the pride on Liv's face. Royston and Liv seem to be quite close. It's sweet. "
In 2003, a rumor that the couple were planning a summer wedding in Leeds surfaced, but as we know so far it was indeed only a rumour ;-) "The Lord of the Rings star is set to tie the knot in Headingley, Leeds. Her rock star fiance Royston Langdon, who fronts Spacehog, is from the area."
Finally, in April 2003, we recieved the news that Liv and Roy had got married in a private ceremony at a villa in the Caribbean on March 25th. This was the happy result of their five year relationship.
